Week 11
As the NFL marches into Week 11, the playoffs are in sight, and each game is getting more and more critical. There are huge games this week, featuring multiple divisional matchups, rivalries, and high-stakes contests. These kinds of stakes are what keep the fans glued to the screen. Various teams are trying to solidify their spots as a playoff squad. Join us as we break down some huge games and listen to what some of the fans have to say about these games.
Buccaneers vs. Bills
The first game we will be looking into is the Buffalo Bills versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. These two teams have had very hot starts to their seasons, with the Bills boasting 6 wins and 3 losses, and the Buccaneers having 6 wins and 3 losses. This game should be an absolute offensive battle, based on the MVP-caliber quarterbacks: they are both top 6 in MVP odds this year, per ESPN.
For this game, the Bills are expected to come out on top, securing a victory over the Buccaneers. Josh Allen, at his staggering size of 6 feet 5 and 240 pounds, is excellent on the ground and can run the ball. With him being a dual threat, this opens the defense in more areas. Along with Josh Allen on the ground, they also have James Cook, their star running back, who rules the box and can take control of a game at any point.
The flaw of the Buccaneers is that they have weaknesses in all the Bills’ strengths. The Buccaneers’ defense is 20th in the NFL, according to Fox Sports. You still can’t count out a 6-3 team. They have Baker Mayfield running their offense, as he has had an astronomical season. He is in the top 16 of all stats for a quarterback. Partnered with Baker is Emeka Egbuka, a star rookie wide receiver, and their young all-star running back, Bucky Irving.
I went around and asked a fan about this game. I asked, “Who do you think will win and why?” and to that, “ I am a Buccaneers fan, but I don’t think we will win this game. We don’t have some key players, and Josh Allen is amazing,” said Buccaneers fan, Hudson.
Broncos vs. Chiefs
For the past seven years, the Chiefs have dominated the AFC West, but a new team has emerged to take the crown. As of this week, the Chiefs have 5 wins and 4 losses, while the Broncos have 8 wins and 2 losses. They are on fire, and they have a spot in the playoffs.
The Broncos will win this game and take over the AFC West for a long time. Their young quarterback, Bo Nix, leads their team. He has flipped the ‘Broncos’ script in the past couple of years and made them an elite team. There are no crazy players on the team, but they all play really well together as a team.
The Chiefs are having a rough start to the season, but there is some hope. The Chiefs have had some great wins and some terrible losses this year. They are not playing the same game every week, and it is showing as they are only .556. The team still has its elite quarterback, Patrick Mahomes. He is the only reason they are positive at the moment. Patrick Mahomes changes a team as a whole with his talent and is the only reason the Chiefs are relevant.
I went to my Friend, Tristan Stanton, a die-hard Broncos fan. I see what he thought about the game. “ I think the Broncos will win. Last year, the Broncos won one game against them and lost the other one, missing the game-winning field goal. The Broncos dominated them last year, and they will likely do so again this year, as our defense is even stronger this year. Plus, Bo Nix has a clutch factor against good teams. He plays up to his competition, but he also plays down to his competition. Bo Nix will play well against the Broncos.” Said Tristan.
Over week 11, there are some huge games outside of these monsters. I recommend tuning in to the Browns beating the Chiefs and the Bills winning against the Buccaneers. I will be back in a few weeks when the teams divide.
