Fall is leaving and winter is coming into season, and it is bringing chilly weather, snow, warm
fires, and hot cocoa. Winter has so many holidays to look forward to, like Christmas, Valentine’s Day,
and the New Year. Football and basketball are in full swing throughout the winter as well. Summer is
hot, sticky, and humid, and it only has a few significant holidays. Winter is way better than summer, and here is why.
First up, winter weather is better than summer weather. I would rather be cold and warm up than be hot and have to cool down. Cold and chilly weather is the best. According to Kavory Arctic, chilly weather is actually healthy for your
heart, brain, and skin. Cold air improves your brain function and activity and sharpens your focus. In
the cold, your heart has to work harder to keep your blood temperature up, which is really healthy for
your heart. Colder air also reduces inflammation in your skin. Summer is all hot and humid, with long,
miserable days in the heat. During the summer, you are at risk of sunburns, heat strokes, and
dehydration. Cold weather is simply better than hot weather.
Next, winter holidays are better than summer holidays. Winter holds so many good holidays throughout the whole season. Valentine’s Day, New Years, and the one and only Christmas. Christmas is many people’s favorite holiday, it is a time for family and friends and gift-giving and receiving. New Years motivates many people to develop healthier habits and set goals for themselves. The only notable holiday during the summer is the 4th of July, which is an ok holiday at best. You just eat some hotdogs and watch fireworks, not the most interesting holiday ever. Besides the 4th of July and Labor Day, summer has no significant holidays.
Finally, winter sports are better than summer sports. I enjoy watching football and basketball during the cold winter months. The NFL playoffs are in full swing and the NBA is getting started. While summer has some good sports like baseball, winter sports are just way better and more entertaining.
To conclude, winter is way better than summer. With all the weather, holidays, and sports, winter is just superior to summer in many ways.
