In Week 5 of the 2025 NFL regular season, an exciting slate of games. As the season develops, these middle-of-the-pack games are huge; some of these games can change the course of the season. I will draw statistics from the NFL and consult with some NFL fans to help predict some of these games. I will highlight these major games, as well as some upsets.
The first game I will be highlighting is the Jacksonville Jaguars versus the Kansas City Chiefs. This game is an excellent match with Jacksonville on a hot streak to start the season. They are 3-1 to start the season, and they are second in the AFC South. This is a confidence booster from last year, as they ended the season with a 4-13 record. The Jaguars have just drafted Travis Hunter, who was the 2024 Heisman winner, and he is a two-way player. Kansas has had a rough start to the season, being 2-2 and losing its best wide receiver, Rashee Rice. Kansas City is no team to go lightly about. They are 2nd in the AFC West, right behind the Chargers. They are the 2024 Super Bowl winners and also coming off a 15-6 record.
I went out in the wild and found a Jaguars fan to ask about this game. His name is Mikey Hickey, and he has been a Jaguars fan his whole life. That is impressive, considering they aren’t great. Here is what he had to say after I asked him what he thinks the outcome of the game will be: “I got that Jaguars defense putting absolute clamps on all the Chiefs receivers. Devin Lloyd is going to have 10 tackles and a pick. The Jaguars are on a train of momentum, and they will carry it right through Patrick Mahomes’s offense. DUUUVAL!” said Mikey. I agree with him, the Jaguars are off to a great start, and I think this will carry into this game.DUUUUUVAL!
The next game I will be showcasing this week will be the New England Patriots versus the Buffalo Bills. This game is a massive face-off between the 1st and 2nd teams in the AFC East. The Buffalo Bills are 4-0 to start this year and just came off a fantastic season with a record of 13 wins and 3 losses. With Josh Allen leading the team at quarterback, they are a powerhouse. On the other hand, there is the New England Patriots with a record of 2 wins and 2 losses. With a record of 4 wins and 13 losses last year, they are off to a great start. The 1st round quarterback pick, Drake Maye, is looking promising. I still don’t know if the Patriots will be able to stop the Buffalo Bills.
My buddy Wes Myers is a huge NFL fan and watches every weekend. I asked what he thinks the outcome of this game will be, and this is what he had to say: “You know, Everyone probably thinks the Bills are gonna blow this one out of the water. I think Drake Maye is going to put the Pats on his back and carry them to a 4th-quarter comeback, but they will fall short due to either a missed field goal or Josh Allen trying to impress Hailee Seinfeld,” said Wes. He raises a good point that the Bills are always in the news, with Haliee Seinfeld, a movie star, recently marrying Josh Allen. I don’t think this will have a significant effect on the Bills, though. I think the bills will come out with this one, but don’t underestimate the Patriots.
Week 5 has some amazing games on its sheet. In Conclusion, in my opinion, I think the Jacksonville Jaguars will pull through with a win against the defending champions, the Kansas City Chiefs. With the Buffalo Bills versus the Patriots, I can see the Bills pulling away with this one. If you have any games for the future that you want me to review, or if you disagree with my claims, please let me know in the comments section.
